Greene County sheriff’s report

Following are excerpts of activities reported by the Greene County sheriff’s office:

Sunday, Sept. 15: At 1:18 pm a deputy assisted with animals on the roadway on Hwy 144 near 250th St south of Grand Junction. At 9:55 pm Audrie Lawrence, 24, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of probation violation*.

Saturday, Sept. 14: At 1:02 am Robin Tague, 38, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of domestic abuse assault*. At 1:01 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 1200 block of W Ave in Junction Township. At 1:07 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a missing person on 110th Street and Eaton Ave in Cedar Township. The child was located. At 3:56 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 800 block of Jay St in Churdan. At 7:59 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a dog killing chickens in the 200 block of 175th St in Kendrick Township. At 10:20 pm Kim Asingho, 32, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of simulated public intoxication*.

Friday, Sept. 13: At 4:13 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on 305th St and T Ave in Washington Township. At 4:05 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 800 block of Hills Ave in Churdan. At 6:55 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of animal neglect in the 500 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 9:48 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in the 200 block of S. 13th St in Grand Junction.

Thursday, Sept. 12: At 5:56 am a deputy investigated a single vehicle rollover accident on 300th St and T Ave in Washington Township. Natale Chiodo, 45, of Des Moines lost control of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler and rolled it into the ditch. The vehicle was total loss.  At 8:30 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on Fitzpatrick and Harding Sts in Churdan. At 9:50 am Damon McDonald, 48, of Lohrville was booked into the jail on charges of burglary- third degree, criminal mischief- fifth degree, theft- fifth degree and driving while license suspended*. At 10:51 am a deputy assisted with three dogs that were running at large in the 2200 block of Hwy 4 in Franklin Township. The dogs were taken to the Community Animal Shelter. At 11:18 am a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in the 300 block of Harding St in Churdan. At 1:40 pm Carter Fetters, 73, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of possession of controlled substance- two counts and a controlled substance violation*.  At 3:26 pm a deputy picked up a puppy running at large in the 1500 block of Kirkwood Ave in Jackson Township. The dog was taken to the Community Animal Shelter. At 4 pm Christopher Lehrkamp, 38, of Scranton was booked into the jail on charges of operating while intoxicated- second offense,  driving while license revoked, and leaving the scene of an accident*. At 5:12 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 900 block of Sand St in Churdan. At 9:30 pm Michael Olson, 62, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of failure to appear*.

Wednesday, Sept. 11: At 6:48 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway in the 1800 block of Hwy 30 east of Jefferson. At 9:43 am a deputy investigated an accident on Hwy 30 near Scranton. Jerod Weston, 41, of Red Oak was stopped in a semi waiting to turn. Matthew Kline, 32, of What Cheer was westbound in a semi and crossed the center line, side swiping Weston’s rig. Kline was cited for crossing the center line. The estimated damage to both semis is $2,000.

Tuesday, Sept. 10: At 6:33 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on Hwy 30 at H Ave west of Jefferson.

Monday, Sept. 9: At 9:21 am a deputy investigated a missing person report in the 100 block of Percival St in Rippey. At 3:18 pm Larry Voss, 50, of Scranton was booked into the jail on a charge of domestic abuse assault*. At 5:52 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 1000 block of E. Railroad St in Grand Junction.

Sunday, Sept. 8: At 6:18 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 800 block of E. Hager St in Grand Junction. At 6:33 pm Nicolas Baldera, 62, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated*. At 8:47 pm Shelby McBride, 29, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of theft- 4th degree*.

Saturday, Sept. 7: Routine activity reported.

Friday, Sept. 6: At 11:25 am a deputy assisted with cattle out on 230th St near J Ave in Jackson Township. At 12:23 pm a deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 900 block of Locust St in Scranton. Kyle Brown of Gowrie was eastbound on State St operating a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle. Christopher Lehrkamp of Scranton was driving a 2014 Kia Soul. Lehrkamp turned into Brown and fled the scene on foot. Damage to the Kawasaki was estimated $4,000. The Kia sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage. Arrest warrants have been requested for Lehrkamp for driving while license revoked, leaving the scene of an accident, fail to yield to oncoming traffic, failure to prove financial liability, and failure to report an accident*. At 4:08 pm Ryan Brown, 52, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for driving while license barred*. At 6:19 pm a deputy, Jefferson Fire Department, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a single vehicle accident on Hwy 4 near 300th St in Franklin Township. Mary Hast of Scranton lost control of a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, striking a bridge railing. Hast was transported to the Greene County Medical Center with suspected injuries. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $2,500. Damage to the bridge railing is estimated at $2,000.  At 7:55 pm a deputy assisted with cattle out on 305th Street near P Ave in Washington Township. At 9:15 pm Michael Olson, 62, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on charges of disorderly conduct and three counts of harassment- third degree*.

Thursday, Sept. 5: At 12:42 am Shane Krueger, 45, of Ogden was booked into the jail on a charge of driving while license suspended or revoked*. At 4:44 pm a deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on U Ave near 1st St in Rippey. Dan Hunsaker of Missouri was traveling northbound on U Ave driving a 2006 Mercedes. Marylin Heater of Boone was westbound on 1st St driving a 2005 Ford Focus. Heater failed to yield the right of way. Damage to the Mercedes is estimated at $3,000; damage to the Ford is estimated at $1,500.

Wednesday, Sept. 4: At 7:15 am a deputy attempted to locate two pigs running at large in the 2000 block of L Ave in Greenbrier Township. At 8:31 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 800 block of 8th St in Scranton. At 2:08 pm a deputy investigated a violation of a court order in the 1100 block of Livingston St in Churdan. At 2:20 pm Joseph Blackmon, 48, of Yale was booked into the  jail on charges of interference with official acts, disorderly conduct, and assault*. At 6:40 pm the sheriff and deputies conducted a search warrant in the 100 block of S. Wise St in Paton. Electronic storage devices were seized.

Tuesday, Sept. 3: At 2:59 pm Joshuah Blumberg, 28, of Grand Junction was booked into the jail on charges of violation of a no contact order, domestic abuse assault- domestic abuse assault, violation of probation, child endangerment, domestic abuse assault- second offense*.

Monday, Sept. 2: At 8:54 am a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief  on Lincoln St near State St in Scranton. At 9:58 am a deputy picked up three dogs in the 2400 block of L Ave in Greenbrier Township. The dogs were taken to the Community Animal Shelter in Jefferson. At 2:29 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 500 block of Harding St in Churdan. At 4:15 pm a deputy assisted with two hogs running loose on 290th St and L Ave in Greenbrier Township.

Sunday, Sept. 1: At 1:41 pm Joseph Midkiff, 38, of Jefferson was booked into the jail on a charge of operation without a ignition interlock device*.

*In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
